Rachel Lopez - Classical Flutist, Private Instruction

Rachel Lopez is an orchestral flutist and private teacher in Austin, TX. She is a flutist with the Austin Symphony Orchestra & piccoloist with the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra (MI). She enjoys teaching privately & has taught many private lessons in & around the Houston, Dallas, & Chicago areas. She currently teaches private flute & piccolo students in Austin & Cedar Park.

Rachel holds Bachelors & Masters degrees from the University of Houston & the University of North Texas, and an orchestral studies diploma from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. She has been a prize winner in flute competitions for the National Flute Association Orchestral Competition, Mid-South Flute Society, & finalist for the Myrna Brown Artist Competition. During 2005-2006, she was a flutist with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. This past summer, she played with the AIMS Festival Orchestra in Graz, Austria.
